Music

As it is common in most trailers for there to be music, this was another element that we needed to discuss to ensure that our trailer was as effective as possible, especially after we were doing a thriller.

We were influenced by 'the strangers' music in the trailer, which is were we got the idea to use it in ours. This was due to the music which related to our film trailer and created an atmosphere.

It took us quiet a while to figure out the music we wanted as so many types of music wasn't flowing well with out trailer. In the end we finally found one.

'The Strangers' and 'Shrooms'
Eerie, created a sense of emptyness therefore building spook and tension
Very atmospheric
Harsh and sharp sounds which are unpleasing to the ear, creaitng a sense of comfortableness- Sudden changes, cretaes dramatic pauses and climaxes etc
Continous throughout the whole trailer = never ending sense of fear.

As our story has developed and we didnt stick too the actual storyoard in which I had intial designed, we also looked at influences which summed up teenage life

'Skins'- Modern songs which are recgonisable
Music which is new to the charts
Young, upbeat, fast tempo, heavy bassline

'Kids'
Fast paced
Heavier beats- Punchy lyrics/ beats to highlight things
Caotic to represent footage
This is the music we ueed in out trailer.

The Strangers -3AM Knock.
