Film Poster- Final Product

This is our final product:

Positives

  • We feel that the although we only used a minimal amount of colours, they are very effective together. It also shows a connection between the darkroom which is a setting in our film, therefore it shows a connection between the two therefore it will be recognizable to the audience.
  • As we wanted to have our main character slightly covered, we tried to do a fade from the red into black. Unfortunately we were unable to do this, therefore we came up with an alternative, or creating a number of different layers but with different opacity levels
  • I feel that we have created our credits very professionally, as we have used a smilar font and size to create the look that most film psoters have.
  • We have made the title and the release date of film very clear, therefore it will stand out to the audince, which will stay in their mind therfore makign our film more succesful. We have also presented the release date in a creative way, by also giving it a sort of tag line to it.

Negatives:

  • As we coudlnt fade the background pciture into balck, we had to use numerous layers with different opacticty levels to get the effect we wanted, however as they are all of the black shade we have lifted one or two layers too high therefore it goes of the size of the poster. We did try and rearrange them to get them into the frame however we foudn this to difficult as it mean that our film poster was changing, so we deicded in the end we would have to leave it.
  • I think that we could have used a different font for the text however, we were unable to fidn one that we felt woudl be suitable for the film poster, but which also woudlnt be to overpowering and take away from the images.
