Audience Feedback

We felt that it would be more beneficial if we all looked at question three "What have you Learnt from your Audience Feedback?" individually as it means that we can argue and discuss what other peoples perspective of our trailer is, the following clip is simply the recording of when an AS English class viewed our trailers.

We were able to get feedback, which gave us an insight of criticism and praise from a different perspective.
Overall, we were praised on our lighting to help set different moods and help create tension.
Our choice of music as it was appropriate for the genre of our trailer and also helped make it recognizable within our work; also as we didn't have any dialogue it helped to spark a sense of fear in the audience. Our choice of setting was picked out to be a positive as they felt that as the locations were recognizable it created a sense of realism.
When looking at the feedback forms, most people had picked up which age group we were aiming our product to and the genre of the film, we feel that this had a positive effect on our attitude towards our products as it clearly showed that we had created the right products with the right conventions for our target audience and genre of film trailer.
By having an outside perspective, from people who are simply watching the trailer, they gave us lots of honest criticisms. There was an idea that the clips didn't necessarily have a connection, therefore it could be fairly confusing to the viewer.
A reoccurring criticism was, that our "drunk" scene in the park didn't seem as realistic, as the people watching felt that it during the day wasn't the time to take part in these activities, they felt that it should have been later for example around 7'0 clock. However their criticism did have a constructive idea to resolve the issue. They said that we should have ether changed the location so that we could use a light to enable the camera to pick up the footage, or we could have changed the contrast of the footage to make it darker so that it seemed less innocent.
Overall I am really pleased with the feedback, as it made me feel our trailer was well worth making, due to people enjoying it and not giving away to much information. I would say that most of our feedback was extremely positive and gave us ideas of how to improve it.
